Doctors Without Borders: Madaya is in critical need of aid
Doctors Without Borders confirmed that the siege imposed by Assad and his ally Hezbollah on the town of Madaya in Damascus countryside, has led to the death of 23 patients in the organization’s medical center since the beginning of Dec. due to starvation and malnutrition.

The organization has stressed on the worrying fate of many of the patients who are currently being treated, explaining that they are in dire need of medicine which has run out in the besieged town.

The patients should be allowed to leave the town on medical emergency and guaranteed a safe place for them to be treated in.

In addition, the organization urged for granting permissions for humanitarian aid to enter Madaya immediately to save the lives of civilians in the town, adding that the aid should enter in a continuous pattern to maintain the lives of the besieged there.
