Opposition fighters downed an Assad regime helicopter in Idlib countryside on Tuesday (February 11), Orient correspondent reported.
The Assad helicopter was downed in al-Nayrab village near Saraqib in Idlib countryside.
Photos showing the burning wreck of the downed helicopter were circulated on social media.
Activists confirmed that the pilot and the crew were killed immediately as a result of targeting the aircraft.
The Turkish military and the Syrian National Army launched an operation in Idlib to retake Saraqib as the number of Turkish casualties rose to 13 in attacks launched by the Assad regime.
