Rockets kill student, injure 12 in Syria's Afrin
PKK-affiliated YPG militiamen shelled on Tuesday (February 4) civilian-populated areas in Aleppo countryside, killing and injuring civilians, Orient correspondent said.

YPG rockets targeted on Tuesday afternoon al-Itihad school in Afrin city in Aleppo countryside, killing Yasin Hemrawi, a displaced student from Damascus countryside, and injuring 12 others.

Meanwhile, YPG/PKK militiamen attacked the Syrian National Army (SNA) soldiers in rural areas around the village of Ayn Issa in the northern Raqqah province, killing at least four SNA fighters.

YPG artillery shells also targeted Jarablus city, injuring a child.

IN December, YPG rockets targeted Azaz city in Aleppo countryside, killing a woman and injuring 15 others, including women and children.

Several explosions have blasted the densely populated opposition-held areas in northern Syria, including areas controlled by the Turkey-backed opposition factions.

Turkey on October 9 announced the launch of Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria to secure its borders by eliminating terrorist elements to ensure the safe return of Syrian refugees and Syria's territorial integrity.
