Syrians celebrate Soleimani killing
Syrians in opposition held areas celebrated on Friday (January 3) the death of a man they hold responsible for thousands of civilians’ deaths.

During a weekly Friday protest in the northwestern city of Idlib, one demonstrator held a placard that read: "We rejoice in the death of the terrorist Qasem Soleimani. Thank you Trump."

"This piece of good news will encourage us to keep advancing, God willing, the revolution will continue and the revolution will triumph," said another protester, who gave his name as Mohamed Shkeib told AFP.

Other Syrians in Idlib, Aleppo countryside, and several Turkish cities handed out sweets to celebrate Soleimani's death and expressed their hope of a similar killing of Bashar Assad.

Syrians and activists worldwide hailed the death of a man they blame for thousands for thousands of deaths in the nearly nine-year-old war.

Soleimani appeared in Syria’s Aleppo, Daraa, Bukamal. His presence shows the degree to which Iranian regime is micromanaging the Syrian slaughter.

Italian activist Francesca Scalinci posted her photo eating Syrian sweets and wrote “One hundred of these days and wrote ib Arabic “Qasem Soleimani killing”

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo posted a video on Twitter showing Iraqis dancing in the street for freedom; thankful that General Soleimani is no more.

The United States killed Iranian Major-General Qassem Soleimani, head of the elite Quds Force and architect of Iranian regime’s spreading military influence in the Middle East, in an air strike on Friday (January 3) at Baghdad airport.
