Syrians, Turks protest Putin crimes near Russian consulate in Istanbul

Hundreds of Syrian and Turkish demonstrators took to the streets on Saturday (December 28) near the Russian consulate in Taksim square in Istanbul, chanting anti-Russia and Assad militia slogans and condemning Putin crimes in Syria, Orient correspondent said.

The demonstrators carried photos, showing thousands of children killed by Russian warplanes and Assad militiamen in Syria, shouting “Putin is killer”.

The demonstrators expressed their sympathy and support to the forcibly displaced persons from Maarat al-Nuaman city and nearby cities and towns in Idlib countryside.

Similar demonstration were reported in Gaziantep and Adana in Turkey and in several countries, including, Greece, Sweden, Germany, UK and Canada.

Assad-Russian warplanes have committed dozens of massacres in Idlib and Hama countryside since they launched their bombing campaign on the 30th of April, largely violating the de-escalation zone deal reached between Russia and Turkey.
