Dozens of thousands of Syrian civilians have been displaced from their homes in Idlib eastern countryside by Assad and Russian random airstrikes and artillery shelling on their homes and farms, Orient News correspondent said.

White Helmets volunteers posted pictures on Twitter showing a large number of trucks carrying displaced Syrian civilians and their handy belongings, heading to the north where there are no camps prepared to host them. Other pictures showed volunteers helping Syrians in packing their belongings.

Syrian activists made urgent pleas to families in the north of Syrian, in the Operation Euphrates Shield area, to open their houses to host families as they are facing tragic conditions in this extreme weather.

Fears about an aid crisis in Idlib rose on Saturday amid a surge in airstrikes that has forced thousands to flee from the last remaining opposition stronghold in the country.

The United Nations urged for an "immediate de-escalation," saying that the Assad regime's offensive has already displaced at least 60,000 residents in Idlib. NGOs put the number at 80.000.

Idlib is the largest part of Syria controlled by opposition fighters and anti-Assad factions with a population swollen following the regime and its allies' advances in other parts of the country.
