YPG shells civilian-populated areas in Turkey, Syria
PKK-affiliated YPG militiamen shelled on Wednesday October the 10th civilian-populated areas in Turkey and Syria after Ankara launched its Operation Peace Spring into northeastern Syria.

Mortar shells were fired from the YPG-controlled areas into Ceylanpınar district in southeastern Şanlıurfa province and into Jarablus.

Six rockets launched by the YPG from Qamishli also hit Mardin province's Nusaybin district.

One civilian was killed and many others were inured by similar attacks in the city Jarablus, according to the White Helmets volunteers.  

Turkey on Wednesday announced the launch of Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria to secure its borders by eliminating terrorist elements to ensure the safe return of Syrian refugees and Syria's territorial integrity.
