Syrians take to streets in Deir ez-Zoor under slogan “you can’t kill our revolution”

Hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets on Friday (October 4) in Deir ez-Zoor countryside, chanting anti-Assad and anti-Iranian backed militias slogans under the slogan “you can’t kill our revolution”, local media reported.

The protests took place after Friday prayers for the third consecutive week in several Deir ez-Zoor countryside’s villages and towns, including al-Maizlia and Izba, Euphrates Post and Deir ez-Zoor 24 reported.

The demonstrators demanded the expulsion of the Assad and Iranian militiamen from their villages and towns east of the Euphrates.

The peaceful demonstrators raised placards in support of Idlib province.

Last month, at least two civilians were shot dead in Deir ez-Zoor countryside as Assad militiamen clamped down on a peaceful demonstration.
