Old Syrian woman exposes reality in Syria’s Khan Sheikhoun

An old Syrian woman from Khan Sheikhoun has exposed the reality of the practices of Assad regime’s militias and the Russian mercenaries against civilians in Khan Sheikhoun town in Idlib countryside, about a month after the Assad militias entered the town.

Reuters published a video on Thursday (October 3), citing CCTV, showing the distribution of food assistance to civilians, entitled “Syrian civilians returning home for reconstruction after takeover”

We experience frequent humiliation, the old woman answered a question by a reporter in colloquial Arabic. We don’t even eat food, she added.

“We are going to Hama,” she responded to another question, carrying her identity card.

Following the interview with the old woman, an Assad regime’s official claimed that they have ensured the security of all citizens in the northern neighborhood in Khan Sheikhoun town and that the regime provides the basic needs such as electricity, drinking water, bread and medicine to civilians.

The Russian Reconciliation Center provides humanitarian assistance to civilians, he added.

In August, Assad regime captured Khan Sheikhoun town in Idlib countryside and few villages in Hama countryside from Syrian opposition forces after Assad militias and Russian mercenaries used scorched-earth policy, killing and injuring thousands of civilians and displacing million others.
