New drone attacks Iranian regime-backed militia on Iraq-Syria border
Drones attacked a company of Iranian regime-backed Popular Mobilization Forces terrorists Wednesday evening in Syria near the border with Iraq, Iraqi sources reported.

According to an Iraqi security source, quoted by Sky News in Arabic, five people were killed in the attack and nine more were wounded.

The attack targeted militias that were operating near the Syrian city of Al Bukamal, the source said.

The troops have begun to cover their tracks to avoid further attack, the source added. Among other things, they had begun scattering their troops, splitting up the various units, and moving heavy artillery to hidden places to protect them from aerial attack.

The same site was targeted by an airstrike overnight Monday, Iraqi and Syrian media reported. One Iraqi news channel attributed the attack to Israel.

A week earlier, twenty-one people were reportedly killed in an explosion at a weapons warehouse used by Iranian-affiliated militias in Iraq's Anbar province. Iraqi military sources and reports in Arab media outlets didn't say who was responsible for it, but the incident was linked to recent attacks in the country, some attributed to Israel.

The explosion came a day after drones struck Iran-backed militias in eastern Syria, killing at least 18 militia men. A Syrian security official said Israeli jets staged the airstrikes, but denied there were any casualties.
