IED explodes in Aleppo’s Akhtarin
An explosion ripped through Aleppo countryside on Friday (August 2), killing a local Military Police officer and injuring civilians, Orient correspondent said.

An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on Friday in a car in Akhtarin town, killing the officer and injuring nine family members, including women and children.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.

Last week, four explosions caused by motorbike bombs occurred almost simultaneously in crowded areas in Aleppo north-eastern countryside, killing and injuring civilians.

Several explosions have blasted the densely populated opposition-held areas in northern Syria, including areas controlled by the Turkey-backed opposition factions.
