Assad-Russian warplanes kill 5, injure 16 in Idlib countryside's Ariha

Russian warplanes bombed the cities of Ariha, Khan Sheikhoun and Termala in Idlib countryside on Sunday (July 28), Orient News correspondent said.

At least 5 civilians were killed while 16 others were injured in the city of Ariha, the death toll is expected to rise, Orient News correspondent added.

In the city of Mashorim, one civilian was killed and another was injured by similar Assad strikes on the town.      

The Russian warplanes killed on Saturday (July 27), at least 11 civilians in the city of Ariha. The victims were Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from the town of Senjar in Idlib southern countryside.

The aerial attacks also killed a three-member ambulance team in the town of Kafr Zita in Hama northern countryside.   

Idlib, Hama northern countryside and Aleppo countryside are within the de-escalation zone deal reached last September between Turkey and Russia. 

Russian and Assad warplanes have violated the deal on a daily basis by conducting airstrikes, killing more than 1100 civilians and injuring thousands.
