The National Front for Liberation (NFL), a powerful group of allied opposition fighters, targeted on Tuesday (July 2) Assad militias in Latakia countryside, killing Assad militiamen.
The group fighters attacked Assad militiamen in Abo Assaad hill in al-Akrad Mountain in Latakia countryside, killing several Assad militiamen, including a lieutenant and injuring others, NFL said on Telegram.
In May, Assad militiamen used the chlorine gas shells in the Kabina Hill in the Akrad Mountain in Latakia northern countryside after they failed to make any progress on the front.
Assad militias based in al-Turkmen Mountain and the al-Akrad Mountain in Latakia countryside continue to target opposition-controlled areas with heavy artillery and rocket fire.
