Assad warplanes kill 9 civilians in Idlib's Kafr Owaid, Maaret al-Numan

Russian warplanes continued airstrikes on cities and towns of Idlib countryside on Wednesday (June 5), not observing the holy Eid al-Fitr Festival, Orient News correspondent said. 

Nine people were killed in the town of Kafr Owaid and the city of Maaret al-Numan, including four children and a woman, Hadi al-Abdullah, a famous Syrian media activist said.

The remains of a boy body were gathered in a cardboard box, according to pictures posted on Twitter by Alaa al-Din al-Yusef on Wednesday.

Three people were killed on Tuesday by similar airstrikes on the first day of the holy Muslim Eid al-Fits Festival.

On Monday (June 3) three civilians were killed after the Assad warplanes targeted the city of Maaret al-Numan. The attack took place in the heart of a market place. 

Idlib is within the de-escalation zone deal reached last September between Turkey and Russia, the Syria guarantor states.
