Women, children killed as Russian warplanes shell Hama, Idlib
Russian warplanes and Assad militiamen shelled on Tuesday (May 7) the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Hama and Idlib countryside, killing and injuring civilians, Orient correspondents said.

Russian warplanes bombed on the early hours of Tuesday civilian homes in Kafr Zita town in Hama countryside, killing two women and  two children and injuring three children and a man.

On Monday night, Russian warplanes bombed civilian homes in al-Lataminah town in Hama countryside, injuring a civilian.

In Idlib countryside, Russian warplanes bombed on Tuesday civilian homes in Ras al-Ain village, killing three children and a woman and injuring 20 others. 

Russian warplanes also bombed on the early hours of Tuesday civilian homes in Balyun village in Idlib countryside, injuring two women and  a child. 

Yesterday, Russian warplanes and Assad helicopters targeted more than 30 villages and towns in Idlib and Hama countryside with hundreds of rockets and barrel bombs, killing and injuring civilians and causing severe damage.

On Sunday, Russian warplanes and Assad helicopters targeted more than 30 villages and towns in Idlib and Hama countryside with hundreds of rockets and barrel bombs, killing 23 civilians, including women and children and injuring dozens.

Idlib countryside and Hama countryside are within the de-escalation zone reached by Russia and Turkey last September. Russian warplanes and Assad militiamen have killed hundreds of Syrians since the de-escalation deal reached.
