Civilian causalities as Assad regime shells Idlib countryside

Assad militiamen shelled on Thursday (Feb. 28) the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Idlib countryside, killing and injuring civilians and causing material damage, Orient correspondent said.

Assad warplanes, artillery shells and rockets targeted on Thursday civilian homes in Khan Sheikhoun town in Idlib countryside, killing a civilian, and injuring two other civilians, Orient correspondent added.

Meanwhile, Assad warplanes and rockets targeted civilian homes in Maarrat al-Numan city and Saraqib city, causing material damage.

On Wednesday, Assad artillery shells and rockets targeted civilian homes in several villages and towns in Idlib countryside, including Khan Sheikhoun, al-Tah, and Jarjnaz, killing a civilian, and injuring five other civilians.

Idlib countryside is within the de-escalation zones reached in Syria by the three guarantor states; Russia, Turkey and the Iranian regime.
