Assad regime targets DMZ in Idlib countryside
The Assad regime’s militias shelled the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Idlib countryside on Friday (Jan. 11), causing material damage, Orient correspondent said.  

Assad regime’s rockets shelled on Friday’s morning Jarjanaz village in Idlib countryside, causing substantial material damage, Orient correspondent added.  

Yesterday, Assad regime’s rockets shelled al-Tah village in Idlib countryside, injuring four children and a man of the same family and causing substantial material damage 

Orient News correspondent visited the scene of Assad shelling in al-Tah village. Houses were either leveled to the ground or were significantly damaged.

Last week, Russian warplanes launched multiple airstrikes on Mintar village in Idlib countryside, injuring six civilians, including two women and a child and causing substantial material damage.

A de-escalation zone deal on Idlib was reached by the Russian and the Turkish presidents last September to halt the Assad regime and its allies’ attacks on the northern Syrian city and its countryside. 

Idlib is the biggest part of Syria held by opposition fighters, with a population swollen by Syrians who were displaced, following the Assad regime and its allies’ control over other parts of the country.
