A man died on Sunday (Nov. 4) in the al-Rukban camp on the Syrian-Jordanian border due to the lack of health care, local social media reported.

Usma Abdullah died after his health deteriorated due to the lack of doctors and medical equipment in the camp.

The man was not allowed to be transferred to the hospital in Jordan to receive medical treatment, Euphrates Post Facebook page said.

On Saturday, a newborn baby died immediately after his birth because his mother was not allowed to be transferred to Jordan to give birth although she needed caesarean section delivery.

Last month, four infants died after his health deteriorated due to the lack of baby formula and the lack of doctors and medical supplies in the camp.

The internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the camp appealed to Jordan and the international community for help, saying they are living in dire conditions.
