Ahrar al-Sham: North battle will be hell for Russians

The General Commander of “Ahrar al-Sham” announced on Saturday (September 1) that opposition factions are ready for Idlib battle, assuring that they have several political, military and security cards. 

In a speech published on “YouTube,” Jaber Ali Basha said that Russians can never be trusted. The Russian project of empowering the Assad regime through military solution has not changed since the first day of their military intervention.

The leader asserted the “massive” preparations of the factions to combat any military offensive, pointing out that the north battle would not be like the previous battles in other Syrian areas. “The battle will be hell for the Russians,’” he said. 

“Ahrar al-Sham” is a member of the “National Front for Liberation,” an alliance of several Free Syrian Army groups that was announced last month.

The Front said in a statement that it aims to be the nucleus of the next revolution army.
