Mothers, wives and sisters of old detainees in the Assad detention centres took the streets to show disappointment because their sons and husbands, and brothers were not set free despite the passage of years, while most of those released, according to the deal, were detained few months ago by the regime.

Women who talked to Orient correspondent described the negotiating committee as "deceivers”.

The agreement stipulated the evacuation of the entire militias and their family members of the two towns of Kafrayya and Fu’a in exchange for the release of about 1500 detainees from the detention centres of the Assad regime.
