Two ISIS members infiltrated on Monday (November 13) into the Assad regime-controlled Deir ez-Zoor Airport and blew themselves up, leaving many killed and injured, according to local media.
The suicide attackers were wearing Russian military uniform. One of them drove his car into the airbase, while the other blew himself up.
Assad regime’s social media said two explosions hit Deir ez-Zoor Airport on Monday, adding ISIS was probably behind the attacks.
No comments have been made by Russia or the Syrian regime’s state media so far.
