Fighters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) - operating under the banner of al-Bunyan al-Marsous Operations Room (BMOR), an operations room that coordinates military action against Assad terrorists in Daraa - repelled on Monday (May 22) an attack by Assad terrorists and the allied Shiite foreign militias on al-Mensheyya neighborhood, as the latter were trying to restore positions recently lost.
BMOR said that Assad terrorists and the foreign militias’ attack was carried out amid Russian air bombardment on the liberated areas in Daraa al-Balad.
As FSA fighters repelled the attack, they destroyed an Assad BMP vehicle, BMOR said.
Meanwhile, Russian warplanes carried out 9 airstrikes on residential areas in Daraa al-Balad neighborhoods, and Assad terrorists targeted the area with 9 surface-to-surface FIEL missiles, Orient News correspondent Bassel Abu Yousef reported. Civilian injuries were reported as a result of the attacks, Abu Yousef said.
These attacks come in another violation by Assad terrorists, their backing foreign militias and the Russians of the recent “de-escalation zones” deal agreed on by Turkey, Russia and Iran in the peace talks held in the Kazakhi capital, Astana, earlier in May.
