Opposition: Assad created ‘black terrorism’ to distort revolution
“Assad regime created black terrorism in Syria to distort the image of the revolution” of the Syrian people, al-Hariri said.
“In Syria, there are militias killing, slaughtering, and burning people in my country under sectarian intentions,” he added, stressing on the international community’s responsibility to end the on-going massacre of the Syrian people.
He explained that the opposition is committed to "combating terrorism in all of its forms," especially the terrorism of the Assad regime and Iran.
He continued by arguing that a devastating war requires immediate international action to put an end and uproot terrorism from the country, emphasizing that “the Free Syrian Army is the real partner in combating terrorism.”
The opposition has provisionally accepted 12 principles given to delegates by the United Nations, al-Hariri said.
He then said that the “Geneva talks concluded with no solid outcome, however the political transition was the most discussed topic.”
"It was first time we discussed in an acceptable depth the issues of the future of Syria and political transition," he added.
He concluded by stating that “the opposition welcomes any efforts that would defend the interest of the Syrian people.”
