Taliban attacks 3 targets near Kabul, causing casualties
An Afghan official says that a suicide car bomber attacked at the gates of a police station in the western part of the capital Kabul.

Najib Danish, deputy spokesman for the Interior Ministry, said Wednesday that a gun battle between police and an unknown number of armed attackers was ongoing.

Meanwhile, a second suicide bomber on foot carried out another attack in eastern Kabul.

Danish said two people were wounded in the attack and the bomber’s target was an office belonging to the national intelligence service.

The Taliban attacked three targets in Kabul, causing heavy casualties, AFP said citing the terrorist group.

The fighting was concentrated near a district police headquarters located not far from a military training school, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to the media.

The explosion was large enough to be heard on the other side of the city.

Last month, a suicide bomber killed at least 20 people outside the Supreme Court in Kabul. ISIS terrorist group claimed responsibility for that attack.
