Medical supplies lack kills mother, fetus in Madaya
A pregnant woman and her fetus met their end Wednesday in Madaya town in Damascus western countryside as a result of the siege imposed on the town by Hezbollah and Assad terrorists.

Activists in the besieged town confirmed to Orient Net that a pregnant woman and her fetus died as a result of a massive hemorrhage, which the mother suffered from, during delivery because of the lack of medical supplies and specialist doctors.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah terrorists targeted the towns of Madaya and Boukein with tank shells and heavy and medium machine guns fire, which came from Hezbollah’s checkpoints located in the surroundings of the two towns. The targeting led to injuring six civilians. The injuries varied in severity.

The shelling comes as the ceasefire declared late December in Syria is still in effect. Hezbollah and Assad terrorists laying siege to Madaya and Boukein towns also breached the truce known as “The Truce of the Four Cities,” which includes al-Zabadani and Madaya.

The Hezbollah militia has been laying siege to Madaya for more than a year. Population of the town is suffering dire living conditions because of the lack of food stuffs, especially flour and children’s milk. Medical supplies are also scarce, and many cases of the meningitis were recorded in the town.
