The Syrian female detainee Rasha Sherbaji along with 55 Syrian female detainees and children were released today from Assad detention centers following a prisoner swap reached between opposition groups and Assad terrorists in Hama northern countryside.
The prisoner swap was organized by the General Institution for Prisoners Affairs. The Institution members were handed the detainees from the al-Madeeq Castle crossing.
Rasha Shebaji was classified by the Syrian Network for Human Rights as one of the most important 20 political female detainees in the world.
The classification came in the campaign launched by the US Permanent Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power in September 2015 to draw attention to the misfortunes of women detained for political reasons.
