Unidentified warplanes kill 25 people in Sarmada north of Idlib

25 people were killed and others injured Tuesday after airstrikes by unidentified warplanes hit a building in Sarmada in Idlib countryside, Orient News correspondent reported.

Local sources told Orient News that they believed the strikes were conducted by the US-led coalition. Unconfirmed news suggests the building was a prison for Jabhat Fatth al-Sham.

Fatth al-Sham denied the building was a prison and claimed it was a central office in the region that included a police station. It said all 25 people inside were killed.

Earlier on Tuesday, Russian-Assad warplanes targeted Idlib in northern Syria with multiple airstrikes. The strikes hit the village of Shughr in Jisr al-Shughoor, Kanasfarah in Jabal al-Zawiyah, Khan Sheikhuon and the outskirts of Idlib. At least two civilians were killed and others injured.
