9 Assad airstrikes hit Damascus’ Wadi Barada
Assad terrorists conducted today at least 9 airstrikes on Wadi Barada’s towns in Damascus western countryside. The escalation on the area has entered its eleventh day despite the nationwide ceasefire announced and brokered by Russia and Turkey in Ankara on Dec. 29.

“Three Assad airstrikes hit Ein al-Fijeh in Wadi Barada. Assad terrorists also shelled the neighboring areas with heavy artillery and machine guns. The escalation today came after uneasy calm denominated for hours of the morning after unprecedented escalation by Hezbollah terrorists on Saturday,” Orient Net learnt from special local sources.

Opposition fighters repelled on Saturday many attempts by Assad mercenaries to progress into Wadi Barada from the two axes of Wadi Bessima and Wadi al-Dahr.

Meanwhile, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) spokesman Osama Abu Zeid called on all opposition fighting groups to be ready to continue operations and do whatever they could to save Wadi Barada after locals appealed to FSA for help.
