After aid convoy was hit in Syria, US to assess future cooperation with Russia - spokesman
The United States expressed on Monday its outrage at the bombing of an aid convoy near Aleppo in Syria, saying that it will reassess future cooperation with Russia.

John Kirby, US State Department spokesman said in a statement that Washington would raise the issue of the attack directly with Moscow.

"The destination of this convoy was known to the ’Syrian regime’ and the Russian federation and yet these aid workers were killed in their attempt to provide relief to the Syrian people. The United States will raise this issue directly with Russia," Kirby said in the statement.

"Given the egregious violation of the Cessation of Hostilities we will reassess the future prospects for cooperation with Russia," he added.

It is worthy to remind that a US-Russian brokered ceasefire truce in Syria was declared on September 12. The truce was violated many times by Assad regime and Russia, bombing opposition-held towns and villages across the country and killing many civilians. The truce was declared expired by Assad regime yesterday on Monday under the pretext that "terrorist groups" did not adhere.
