Truce or rearrangement of the crime scene?
Ghazi Dahman in the New Arab writes that US secretary of State justifies the truce agreement with Russia by saying that without the agreement many Syrians will be killed or forced to leave the country. This shows that the most the can be done is saving those who remained alive if they give up their political and civil in addition to their human rights. The writer believes that even this salvation is not guaranteed as the gang is left to do whatever it pleases in the dark.

Dahman adds that the more one kills, the more strategic and geopolitical merits he will be entitled. What is important is having a slogan no matter if credible or not such as war on conspiracy or supporting the legal governments or implementing international law and also it is important to have the right mechanism to carry out the mission with lethal weapons, mercenaries and militias. Then, the crimes will be tolerated.

The writer then discusses the US inaction without any political plan in Syria ignoring the illegitimate regime that is killing its people. In this case, the truce is no more than a rearrangement of the crime scene.

With the US justification, the Syrian tragedy continues as long as Assad gang remains in power and as long as Iran is in Syria, the writer argues and explains that the enemies of Syrians who follow the alliance of Russia, Iran and the US agree to a truce that gives them political gains achieved by killing and massacres.
