The alleged shrine of Saiyda Sukainah witnessed many battles in its surrounding areas. Battles ended with Free Syrian Army’s control over the alleged shrine in March 2015, according to Enab Baladi newspaper.

It is worthy to point out that alleged shrine, whose construction started in 2003, was never heard of before 1999 and considered alien to Darayya.

The tomb is said to belongs to a woman who used to live in that area, far from downtown. Other accounts say that it is a tomb of “dog” that a man called Abu Sadiq used to have, according to the newspaper.
