Support is our weapon in Syria
The tragedy – which has been going on for the same period as the age of this little child – has been filled with killing, displacement and false promises, the writer explains.
The writer then argues that “the least that we can do is support those in need by providing them with assistance from individuals, governments and humanitarian centers.”
However, the writer states that “despite the urgency of this relief appeal, we should not allow the door to be opened for traders of tragedies.”
“Relief operations are the source of life for the majority of the Syrian people, including those who remain in their homes in areas where there is fighting or even beyond these areas,” the writer explains.
Nevertheless, certain charities have taken advantage in their tragedy to profit and trade, while others exploit the people’s needs by forcing them to become extremists, the writer explains.
The writer then mentions that Omran’s photo represents “the life of an oppressed people tyrannized by the world’s most ruthless regimes whilst other powers look on, not caring about the fate of an entire nation that is being exterminated through murder and displacement.”
The writer then argues that it is our duty to stand by the Syrian people and help alleviate their suffering, urging governments to provide these Syrian refugees with employment opportunities so that they can live a decent life.
“Supporting the Syrian people is a praiseworthy deed that will defeat the genocide project, save millions of displaced people and heal hundreds of thousands of injured people,” the writer states, explaining that their resistance will defeat every power which aims at attacking Syria and the region.
