Opposition fighters foil Assad forces attempt to progress in Latakia countryside

Opposition fighters foiled today morning the Assad fighters attempt to occupy al-Turkmen Mountains in Latakia countryside. Assad forces were trying to progress via many axes while their artillery was heavily bombing the area.

While Assad forces were trying to progress in Ain Essa axis, opposition fighters killed many of Assad fighters, Orient correspondent reported.

Opposition fighters targeted Assad forces strongholds in Ard al-Wata village and al-Hadada Hill axis in al-Akrad Mountain with thermal missiles killing and wounding many members of the shabiha militias in addition to the destruction of a military vehicle killing all fighters inside it

Last Saturday, opposition fighters also foiled an attack by Assad forces on al-Hadada Hill in al-Akrad Mountain and killed 30 fighters; Assad media outlets admitted the killing of 13 of its members and the wounding of 15 others.
