Art from killing tools

Art from killing tools
Abo Ali from al-Ghouta in Damascus eastern countryside used to work in marble and flagstones before the outbreak of the Syrian Revolution, but when it started in 2011, he joined hands in his own way.

He fashioned masterpieces out of shells and tools of remnants of rockets, barrel bombs and other killing instruments ha hrefed on residential areas by Assad artillery and warplanes.

The while thing was not art for art’s sake, but he wanted to send a message to the world in every masterpiece he makes.

He fashions machine guns’ remnants, for example, into spoons in a message revealing the international kitchen of conspiracy against the Syrian people.

He fashions a tank shell into a headphone in a message saying that it represents the sound of the Syria people which does not reach the international community. He found the headphone as the best means of delivering the Syrians’ sound.

These masterpieces express the strength and tolerance of Syrians in creation from hearts full of pain.

Abo Ali says he will continue until he delivers his voice to the whole world. He also wants to display his works in exhibitions in many countries.
