Russian-Assad airstrikes halted in Idlib, displacement continues

Thursday (December 26) is the second day on which there are no airstrikes reported by Russian warplanes flown by Assad terrorists after bloody days of massacres against Syrian civilians, Orient News correspondent says and adds that the mass exodus of civilians from Maarat al-Numan and Saraqib is ongoing.

One of Maarat al-Numan locals availed the opportunity as the airstrikes ceased and came back to take what could be carried on his motorbike, he told MMC that the most opponent enemies of the Syrian people could not do what Assad terrorists committed against Syrians as there were at least 20 houses leveled to the ground in his neighbourhood.

One of the displaced women talked to Sham news agency and described her dire living conditions in this extreme cold weather. 

"Assad regime militiamen killed our youth and displaced us here in this winter," she said as he got emotional.

Airstrikes are expected to be resumed at any time.

At least eight civilians were killed on Tuesday by Assad-Russian warplanes in a camp where the displaced Syrians found shelter from their tough journey in Idlib.  

Syrian civil society organizations and individuals have issued a statement, appealing for halting the killings conducted by Assad militiamen and Russian warplanes in Idlib. 

Assad-Russian warplanes have committed dozens of massacres in Idlib and Hama countryside since they launched their bombing campaign on the 30th of April, largely violating the de-escalation zone deal reached between Russia and Turkey.
