Drones strike Iranian regime-backed militia base on Syria-Iraq border
Unknown aircraft  struck bases belonging to Iranian regime-backed militias near the Iraqi-Syrian border on Friday night (September 27), according to local Syrian media.

An unmanned aerial vehicle struck the targets within Iranian regime-backed militia base on the Iraqi-Syrian border, Euphrates Post and Deir ez-Zoor 24 reported.

The bases belong to the Popular Mobilization Forces.

Earlier this month, several militiamen were reportedly killed in an explosion at a weapons warehouse used by Iranian regime’s-affiliated militias in Iraq's Anbar province.

A series of recent strikes in Iraq have been attributed to Israel, some taking place near the Syrian border. The attacks were aimed at Shi’ite militias affiliated with Iran, aimed at foiling attempts to smuggle weapons into Syria.
