A Lebanese party utters surprise over Hezbollah links to US-Iranian regime conflict

The Political Bureau of the Lebanese Kataeb Party issued a statement at the end of its deliberations touching on the "scheme to overthrow the Lebanese sovereignty and drag the country into war."

The Kataeb uttered surprise over "the suspicious silence of the political authority in all its institutions and components vis-a-vis the dangerous words of Hezbollah militia's leader, in which he linked Lebanon to the Iranian regime-American conflict and threatened to fight the war under the command of the Iranian leadership."

"The party, which has long warned against the involvement of Lebanon in the conflicts of the region, now warns of the dangers looming over the country because of Hezbollah's attempts to transform Lebanon into an annexed State, and its determination to appear stronger than the State, after it overthrew its sovereignty, security, independence and freedom of decision," the statement read.

Hezbollah leader has always pledged allegiance to the Iranian regime bragging about the precision guided missiles he received from Tehran to attack Israel. The rhetoric is seen by many political parties in Lebanon as attempt to overthrow the state of Lebanon and involving it in world conflicts.
