Three children were found dead on Sunday (September 8) in an irrigation canal in Raqqa countryside, local media reported.
Lifeguards retrieved the bodies of Khalil Ismail al-Bush, Majd Ismail al-Abed al-Bosh and Abeer Ali Ismail al-Bosh from the irrigation canal in Jadidit Kheit village, Euphrates Post reported.
Drowning has become widespread in eastern Syria, given the rising temperature during summer, turning water bodies into a temptation for children and inexperienced swimmers.
