Hayet Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) downed on Wednesday (August 14) an Assad regime, SU-22 , warplane in Idlib province, the group posted on its website.
Orient News correspondent said the warplane was downed by machine guns near the front of al-Tamanaa in Idlib southern province.
The two pilots ejected, one was captured by HTS without releasing information about his fate, while the second pilot seemed to have managed to escape.
Idlib province is witnessing heavy clashes between the Assad militias and the opposition fighters after the regime breached the ceasefire only four days after reaching it on the first of August.
