Civilian causalities as Assad warplanes shell Hama, Idlib countryside
Assad warplanes conducted heavy airstrikes on Friday (July 21) on the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Hama and Idlib countryside, killing and injuring civilians and causing material damage, Orient correspondents said.

Assad warplanes and Artillery shells targeted on Friday morning Kafr Zita village in Hama countryside, killing a man and a woman.

Meanwhile, Assad and Russian warplanes and Assad artillery shells and rockets targeted civilian homes in several villages and towns in Hama countryside, including al-Lataminah and Hasraia, causing substantial material damage.

In Idlib, Assad warplanes bombed several villages and towns, including al-Mastumah, Hish and Madaya.

Yesterday, Assad and Russian warplanes targeted Idlib countryside, killing at least 23 civilians, including nine children and three Violet ambulance team volunteers and injuring 27 civilians.

Locals say that at least 500.000 people have been displaced by the Assad regime and Russian attacks, while the United Nations puts the number at 200.000.

Idlib, Hama countryside and Aleppo countryside are within the de-escalation zone deal reached by Russia and Turkey last September, it was largely violated but renewed on the twelfth of June 2019.
