Assad shelling injures civilian in Idlib countryside
Assad militiamen shelled on Monday (June 17) the demilitarized zone (DMZ) of Idlib countryside, injuring a civilian and causing material damage, Orient correspondent said.

Meanwhile, Assad artillery shells and rockets targeted several villages and towns in Idlib countryside, including Habit and Khan Sheikhoun.

On Sunday, Russian airstrikes hit the towns of Karsa, Maaret Hurma and the western outskirts of Maaret al-Numan in Idlib countryside, killing a civilian and injuring three others, including two kids and a woman.

On Saturday, at least nine civilians were killed by the Assad regime and Russian airstrikes on Maaret al-Numan, al-Bara and Khan al-Sobol in Idlib countryside.

Locals say that at least 500.000 people have been displaced by the Assad regime and Russian attacks, while the United Nations puts the number at 200.000.

Idlib, Hama countryside and Aleppo countryside are within the de-escalation zone deal reached by Russia and Turkey last September, it was largely violated but renewed on the twelfth of June 2019.
