Assad militias suffer heavy losses in Hama countryside's Jabeen

Assad militias were repelled by opposition fighters in the northern countryside of Hama on Saturday (June 15), Syrian media activist Mahmood Alhamwi posted on his YouTube channel.

Opposition fighters repelled an Assad militias' offensive which sought to capture the town of Jabeen, killing and injuring many of the sectarian members who fled in flight leaving their destroyed military vehicles abandoned, Mahmood Alhamwi added.

"These Assad-destroyed vehicles show the fierce clashes that took place in the town of Jabeen in the northern countryside of Hama. Assad militias exerted their efforts to take important positions in the town, but the opposition halted their advance," the media activist said.

Hama northern countryside is in the de-escalation zone reached by the two Syria guarantor states, Turkey and Russia last September.
