Sudan's main opposition group called for an international inquiry into the killing of protesters when security forces dispersed a sit-in on Monday.
The Sudanese Professionals' Association's spokesman Amjad Farid said it rejected a plan to set up a governmental investigative committee, as announced by the head of the Transitional Military Council.
At least 35 people were killed on Monday when security forces stormed a protest camp outside the Defence Ministry in central Khartoum, according to doctors linked to the opposition.
