A group of Assad militiamen was killed on Friday (May 24) after a group of opposition fighters infiltrated into their ranks in Aleppo countryside, Orient News correspondent said.
The opposition group whose members carried out the surprise attack belonged to Ahrar al-Sham. The operation took place near the town of Baynoon in Aleppo northern countryside .
At least eight Assad militiamen were killed and two of the opposition group were killed, the group said without elaboration.
A similar operation was conducted last month by anti-regime groups in Aleppo countryside where at least 27 Assad members were killed in Aqrab, the Jabas Marketplace, on the front of al-Rashideen in the west of Aleppo.
