Opposition fighters launch surprise attack on Assad position in Hama countryside

Opposition fighters carried out at the first light of Monday (May 20) a surprise attack on the Assad militiamen's positions located in the Tel Hemamitat in Hama northern countryside, Orient News correspondent said.   

Footage posted by opposition showed one of the Free Syrian Army commanders, encouraging his fellow Syrians to fight against the Russians and the Iranians.

Assad helicopters dropped barrel bombs and marine mines on Kafr Zeita and al-Arbin village in Hama northern countryside. 

Assad militiamen captured the city of Qalaat al-Madiq and Kafr Nabodeh in Hama northern countryside early this month.
