Friday (May 17) is witnessing uneasy calm following days of heavy airstrikes and missile attacks launched by the regime and its Russian allies on cities and towns in Idlib countryside and Hama northern countryside, claiming the lives of dozens of Syrian civilians.

Locals in Idlib say they don’t trust this uneasy calm, making sure the Assad militiamen will resume shelling and random attacks on their civilian neighbourhoods.

On Thursday two bodies of children were turned to pieces by a Russian attack that took place in the village of Haas in Idlib countryside.

On Wednesday a man was killed and many others were injured by a Russian airstrike that hit the city of Maaret al-Nuaman in Idlib countryside.

Meanwhile, the opposition fighters in Idlib southern countryside and Hama northern countryside say that no progress was made by what they described the "Assad terrorists" as they (opposition fighters) were using anti-armor missiles to repel the Assad militias’ progress.

Dozens of pictures which were posted by the opposition Jaysh al-Izza and the National Front for Liberation showed the bodies of the Assad militiamen flying as the anti-armor missiles were used against them in Hama northern countryside.
