FSA prepared for any YPG/PKK attacks in Syria
The Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) is getting ready for possible attacks by YPG/PKK militias against Turkey-liberated areas in northern Syria, according to Anadolu Agency screening of the training.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, FSA commanders affiliated with Hamza Division said more than 300 fighters, who had defected from the regime, have joined the armed opposition.

The fighters have been taught about advanced combat techniques and strategies and showed readiness to any kind of possible attacks from YPG/PKK terrorists, they said.

“We are preparing for a potential operation against YPG/PKK terrorists,” Abdullah Halawi, one of the division commanders, said.

“The fighters are ready for fighting, street clashes and the use of heavy automatic weapons,” he added.

The Hamza Division was founded in 2015 under the command of FSA, and fought along with Turkish Armed Forces during Operation Euphrates Shield which aimed to remove ISIS terrorists from northern Syria.

The division consists of 6,500 men with different ethnic backgrounds such as Turkmens, Arabs and Kurds.
