They still believe the protests that erupted 8 years ago against the Assad militias remain a moment worth celebrating.

Despite the hardships of death, displacement and the pain incurred by those who lost their beloved ones, Syrians believe freedom of the Syrian people is a goal many are ready to sacrifice their lives for.

Assad war launched on Syrians war has killed about million people and driven about 5.6 million people out of the country. Another 6.6 million people still in the country have lost or fled their homes.
