Assad militia detains opposition leader in Daraa
Assad regime’s militia detained on Friday (February 1) one of the opposition leaders who stuck a deal and reconciled the regime in Daraa countryside, Orient News learnt from local sources.

Tareq al-Alo, the leader of The Grandsons of the Prophet Brigade, was detained by the Assad militia men in the town of Inkhel, the sources said.

Alo was charged with dealing with Israel.

The opposition leader was also a financial official in the Front of Syria’s Revolutionaries.

Assad militia men backed by Russians recaptured the city of Daraa and its countryside in August last year.

Opposition fighters who rejected the idea of reconciliation with the Assad regime were displaced to the north of the country.
