The three were part of a group of six referred to an Ankara court Saturday for the attack. The three arrested are charged with actually performing the shooting. The other three were released under court supervision.

The regional governor’s office said two of those arrested were detained the day of the shooting and confessed. Police later detained the other four suspects.
It identified them as Ahmet Çeliktan and Osman Gündaş. They were placed in a high security prison with the third suspect, Ersin Bayram.
The incident came in the midst of an escalating diplomatic and trade row between Ankara and Washington regarding the detention in Turkey of "terror-linked" US pastor Andrew Craig Brunson.
